Home Delivered Meals
We need your help now to keep meals coming to homebound seniors! |

Being a volunteer for Home Delivered Meals (HDM) for Seniors is a very gratifying experience. You are doing more than delivering a nutritious meal. For many participants, you are their only contact with the outside community. They look forward to seeing you and feel you are a friend. Our home delivered meals program relies on volunteer drivers. The HDM Program of Saratoga County is in urgent need of volunteers to deliver meals to the elderly, home-bound. This program is designed to help those 60 years of age and older, who are homebound, to remain in their own homes for as long as possible, by providing a hot meal and a daily human contact. Meals are delivered Monday through Friday to a growing number of the elderly. We must divide our present delivery routes in an effort to comply with the Program guidelines. To accomplish this we must recruit more volunteers.

Volunteers give an hour or two of their time and deliver as often as they prefer. Once a week, every other week, once a month or only certain months of the year. We do our best to accommodate individual schedules. 5aratoga County is one of the few Counties in the State that does not have a waiting list for Seniors that are in need of meals. We are able to start meals immediately. The only reason we are able to serve our seniors so well is because of Volunteers. Over the course of a year
